my chin hairs + your biz.

I had lazer hair removal on my chin recently.

It's super glamorous, it's muey feminine, and it really made me feel like a natural woman. So of course I had it removed so I no longer had to stand side-by-side my beautiful husband every morning and shave it in the bathroom together (it was a real bonding experience, however, we would like to bond in other ways moving forward.)

The most unexpected part of this experience was the drive home. The feeling that I had driving home, knowing that I literally just spent only 5 minutes and $70 and my life is forever changed.

I no longer have to wonder if my friends and family can see little black hairs growing from my chin if I didn't get to them that day. I no longer have to feel self-conscious if my husband wants to touch my face before he gives me a kiss. Everything has changed in a matter of moments.

That sweet esthetician had no idea showing up for her job that day, and giving me 5 minutes of her time would make such an impact on my life. She puts on her cute scrubs and makes her fancy coffee to-go, and shows up to this job every day. She probably doesn't even think about it. She will probably never ever think about me again… and yet forever I will think about her and what 5 minutes of her time did for me (getting a teensy emotional even thinking about it).

Have you ever had something that was such a pain in the ass - suddenly just get up and disappear, to never be worried about again?!

How fucking freeing is that feeling?!

It really challenged me to think about how I show up in moments where it feels like nothing to me, and how those moments may be impacting other people.

I heard it over and over with the designer's touch sessions in December. Where I showed up I did my thing that comes naturally to me, that I'm trained in, and what love to do. But this small chunk of time out of my life, ultimately impacted their life in monumental ways.

I want more moments like that.

I challenge you to find the little moments like that, too. Those 5 extra minutes that you give your clients on a call. The two seconds it takes to reply to someone on Instagram (people are craving that connection with you!).
